Written by Mike White on .

The Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State Teams for Class 2A and 4A have been released this morning, and Steel Valley and Thomas Jefferson show up often on the teams.

Thomas Jefferson has three players on the 4A team. They are receiver Zane Zandier, running back Quinton Hill and defensive lineman Devin Danielson. Thomas Jefferson won the WPIAL 4A team this season. Zandier has committed to the University of Virginia. He was recruited to play defense, but made the all-state team at receiver (Zandier is pictured making a catch in the WPIAL title game at Heinz Field).

Meanwhile in 2A, Steel Valley running back-defensive back DeWayne Murray was selected the Player of the Year while Steel Valley's Rod Steele was named Coach of the Year. In addition, Steel Valley's Paris Ford made the all-state team at defensive back. Ford is a Pitt recruit.

In 4A, the only other WPIAL player to make the all-state team was New Castle defensive back Geno Stone. In 2A, the only other WPIAL players to make it were Neshannock tight end Tyler Sear and Neshannock linebacker Frank Antuono. Sear is a Pitt recruit while Antuono has committed to Robert Morris.
