Games of the Week

  • North Allegheny won convincingly, beating Bethel Park 28-0. Check out Mike White's live blog for more. The Tigers have a date with No. 1 Upper St. Clair next week.
  • Class AA's No. 10 Seton-La Salle knocked off No. 7 seed Washington, 35-27. Check out Brad Everett (@BREAL412)'s feed for more on that game.
  • In Class AAA, Franklin Regional beat Montour 42-21 to advance to the quarterfinals. Our @RyanRiordan had updates from that game.
  • The PG wasn't there, but I can't write about games of the week without mentioning West Mifflin's 47-42 win over Mars. Two of the WPIAL's top five running backs went blow for blow in this one, with West Mifflin's Jimmy Wheeler going for 359 yards and six touchdowns while Mars' Cole Blake had 309 yards and three scores. More on this game from our AAA roundup.

  • Shutouts: five
  • OT games: none reported
