FINAL: CLAIRTON 20, DUNMORE 0

Final stats: Total dominance by Clairton defense. The Bears limited Dunmore to six first downs and 115 total yards. So much for bigger being better. Dunmore had a huge offensive line, but it didn't matter. Everyone always talks about Clairton's speed and quickness on offense, but the speed on defense was the difference.

And Clairton beat Dunmore at its game. Clairton controlled the ball and had long drives. No big plays. Clairton won time of possession, 30:23 to 17:37.

Clairton finished with 23 first downs and 432 yards offense. Tyler Boyd rushed for 117 yards on 20 carries. Bryon Clifford had 58 on 10 attempts. Armani Ford was also key for Clairton, completing 10 of 18 for 150 yards.

The Bout Dat crew is now Bout Dis: Four championships in a row.

IT'S OVER, IT'S DONE AND CLAIRTON IS NO. 1 -- AGAIN

Fourth consecutive PIAA title for Clairton.

Stats and more later.

3:19 p.m. - Getting chippy out there. Fourth unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Clairton since the last TD.

3:08 p.m. - Just a little icing on the cake. QB Armani Ford runs 29 yards for a touchdown with 4:06 left in the game. Clairton actually tried to kick the extra point. But bad snap. Stopped. 20-0 with 4:06 left.

3:00 p.m. - Dunmore came close to scoring. Open recevier for TD, but pass was overthrown by Brandon Kujawski. On fourth down Robert Boatright sacks QB to end the threat.

By the way, Boatright is wearing No. 6, Titus Howard's number.

2:55 p.m. - Through third quarter, Clairton has 17 first downs to 4 for Dunmore.

2:54 p.m. - Tyler Boyd back in the game for Clairton.

END OF THIRD QUARTER: Clairton 14, Dunmore 0

Dunmore just got a first down. That is Bucks first first down since the second quarter.

2:50 p.m. - Tyler Boyd has not returned to the game. Wait. He's in now to do the punting.

2:47 p.m. - Clairton's defense has been tremendous. Shouldn't Dunmore at least attempt to pass a little?

2:45 p.m. - Clairton trainer working on Tyler Boyd shoulder. Boyd not in game right now on defense.

2:43 p.m.  Clairton drove inside Dunmore 20, but a penalty and sack moved the Bears back to the 33 and turned the ball over on downs. Still 14-0 with 3:57 left in the third quarter.

2:39 p.m. - Stat from Harrisburg Patriot-News' Andy Shay. Clairton offense has been on field 14 of the last 17 minutes in this game.

2:35 p.m. - Shouldn't they just put the trophy on Clairton's side now. Can't see any way Bears will lose 14-0 lead. Clairton driving again.

HALFTIME: Clairton 14, Dunmore 0

STATS: Clairton dominating. Any surprise? Clairton 12 first downs and 245 total yards to Dunmore's three first downs and 64 total yards. Tyler Boyd has 74 yards rushing on 13 carries. Armani Ford 8 of 13 fo 134 yards.

2:03 p.m. - Funny how Dunmore has size advantage, but Clairton is the one driving the ball.

2:00 p.m. - CLAIRTON SCORES AGAIN.

21-yard TD pass from Armani Ford to Terrish Webb. They also combine on two-point pass. 14-0 Clairton.

1:56 p.m. - Dunmore has been pretty much dominated, but trails only 6-0 still

1:50 p.m. - Clairton goes swinging gate on fourth down. Tyler Boyd took snap, but pass to Terrish Webb incomplete. Still 6-0.

1:48 p.m. - Big moment of the game. Fourth-and-goal for Clairton at the 2. This drive has lasted 18 plays. Wow. Dunmore hasn't had ball yet this quarter and there is 3:49 left in half.

1:45 p.m. - Armani Ford has really turned into a nice passer as this season has progressed. Clairton now at Dunmore 11.

1:40 p.m. - Dunmore doing a good job of tackling. That might sound elementary, but a lot of teams struggle to tackle against Clairton.

1:36 p.m. - Titus Howard is NOT playing for Clairton. Someone else is wearing his No. 6 jersey. But it is NOT Howard.

END OF FIRST QUARTER: Clairton 6, Dunmore 0

Clairton starting this time at 1-yard line to start second quarter.

1:31 p.m. - Both teams exchange punts. Dunmore now takes over at Clairton 38.

1:24 p.m. - Dunmore showing some ability to run the ball on Clairton. Two first downs so far on this drive.

1:22 p.m. - Dunmore tries to run wide. Ahhhh, sorry. That doesn't work against Clairton. Dunmore will need to use those big boys up front to try to pound the ball.

1:21 p.m. - Looks like Clairton daring Dunmore to throw. Nine men in the box.

1:19 p.m. - Really large following from Dunmore. One of largest crowds I've seen from a Class A school. But real nice throng of Clairton peopl ehre, too. Not as many as Dunmore, but Clairton represented well.

1:18 p.m. - CLAIRTON 6, DUNMORE 0

Clairton goes on scoring drive on first possession. Tyler Boyd caps it with a 5-yard TD run.

1:16 p.m. - Dunmore is bing on the lines, but can it cover the outside? Clairton on first drive already at Dunmore 26. This after losing 25 yards on first play because of penalty.

1:07 p.m. - Game time in about three minutes. In Clairton locker room before the game, the Bears listened to a taped inspirational speech by Ray Lewis. No, it wasn't made for Clairton. It's on YouTube and other places.

They listened to it with the lights out.

PREGAME

Beautiful weather, but not beautiful news for Clairton. Titus Howard will not play. Howard is the Bears' standout-defensive back who sustained a dislocated elbow in the PIAA quarterfinals. He did not play last week in the semifinals and is not in uniform.
