Philip Weremeychik of New Kensington racked up 320 points and won in two categories of the recent Lock 3 and Clyde & Patti's Allegheny River Tournament. His catfish (above) was a 44-inch, 30 1/2-pound flathead, and his carp measured 30 inches. Both fish were caught near Verona using chicken liver.





As a kid, Kate Toth fished with her father at Shawnee Lake in Bedford County. On July 21, Toth of Versailles took her daughter Sarah to one of the same spots. Above, fun with panfish.






Sarah Toth, 14, of Versailles released bluegills, yellow perch and a bullhead catfish caught July 21 at Bedford County's Shawnee Lake at Shawnee State Park.




Joe O'Connell, 11, and Dan O'Connell, 14, of West Mifflin were pitching crawlers for perch and panfish July 13 on the Shenango River below Pymatuning Dam. They caught a panfish and were reeling it in when a 32-inch musky attacked the hooked fish. The boys were able to horse the big predator to the shore.



Tanner Dillon of Bentleyville caught this 31-inch catfish in the Monongahela River near Brownsville July 5.
