Changes continued Saturday on the West Virginia coaching staff as Steve Dunlap, who coached special teams and the outside linebackers was let go by Dana Holgorsen, according to a source close to the program.
The move was first reported tonight by West Virginia MetroNews.
Dunlap had long roots in the program, as he was a former member of Don Nehlen’s staff at West Virginia in the 1980s and 1990s.
Athletic Director Oliver Luck said this week that changes were coming to the program including to the coaching staff, but did not share any other details.

Earlier this month Holgorsen fired cornerbacks coach Daron Roberts, and promoted Keith Patterson to defensive coordinator over Joe DeForest.
Holgorsen has not announced a permanent replacement for Roberts, but placed graduate assistant Andrew McGee in that role for the Pinstripe Bowl.
The team's defense was among the program's worst in history this season, ranking last in FBS football against the pass for most of the season.
