Roberts moves on from WVU

Written by Jenn Menendez on .

West Virginia Coach Dana Holgorsen parted ways with cornerbacks coach Daron Roberts on Saturday, the school announced in a release.

The school said Roberts “left the program to pursue other opportunities.”

“I want to thank Daron for his time on staff at West Virginia,” Holgorsen said in a statement. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Roberts, a graduate of Harvard Law, was known as a very strong recruiter.

He suffered criticism for the play of the team’s corners this season, a group that contributed to a 120th ranked pass defense for most of the season.
