It's GAMEDAY in Morgantown

It’s GAMEDAY in Morgantown for the last time this season.

Forecast calls for  balmy 56 degrees around kickoff, with mild winds from the south.

What’s at stake? The difference between a 7-5 season and a 6-6 season. And yes, there is a fairly sizable difference there.  A win can also have potential bowl game ramifications. A rep from the Holiday Bowl in San Diego said a win at Iowa State and a 7-5 finish puts the Mountaineers on the short list. Of course many other factors outside of today’s game outcome will effect where this team goes – be it the Holiday Bowl or New York’s Pinstripe which are the most likely destinations. (Though don’t count out Houston)

What are the big questions? What offense will Charlie Weis come out with? The defensive staff has been working all week to be prepared for a run offense that has varied itself every game this season. But will they get creative and try to throw more considering the Mountaineers pass defense has been so poor? Should be interesting.

Best case scenario: The seniors find a way to win and go out in style, which, let’s face it, is most likely to happen. On paper this game appears to be no match, even if Kansas throws everything but the kitchen sink out there.
