Blackhawks Posteason Statistics

Bruins Postseason Statistics

Blackhawks Injuries: The Blackhawks are reporting no injuries.

Bruins Injuries: Center Gregory Campbell (leg) is out. Center Marc Savard (concusion) is on injured reserve.

Blackhawks with Stanley Cup bling: Bryan Bickell, LW; Dave Bolland, C; Corey Crawford, G; Niklas Hjalmarsson, D; Marian Hossa, RW; Patrick Kane, RW; Duncan Keith, D; Brent Seabrook, D; Patrick Sharp, LW; Jonathan Toews (above), C.

Bruins with Stanley Cup bling: Patrice Bergeron, C; Johnny Boychuk, D; Gregory Campbell, C; Zdeno Chara, D; Andrew Ference, D; Nathan Horton, RW; Jaromir Jagr, RW; Chris Kelly, C; David Krejci, C; Milan Lucic, LW; Brad Marchand, C; Adam McQuaid, D; Daniel Paille, LW; Rich Peverly, C; Tuukka Rask, G; Marc Savard, C; Tyler Seguin, C; Dennis Seidenberg, D; Shawn Thornton, LW.

Something worthwhile about the Blackhawks: At 94.8 percent, the Blackahwks have the best penalty killing percentage in the postseason.

Something worthwhile about the Bruins: At 1.88, the Bruins have the best goals against average in the postseason.

Something useless about the Blackhawks that is vaguely connected to the Penguins: Former Penguins general manager Tony Esposito holds the Blackhawks franchise record for career shutouts with six.

Something useless about the Bruins that is vaguely connected to the Penguins: Former Penguins right winger Mark Recchi is the oldest player to appear in a postseason game for the Bruins. He was a member of Boston's 2011 Stanley Cup championship at the age of 42.

Former Penguins on the Blackhawks: Denis Bonvie, professional scout; Scotty Bowman, senior advisor - hockey operations; Daniel Carcillo, LW (Carcillo was a Penguins prospect but never played for the club at the NHL level); Marian Hossa, RW; Norm Maciver, assistant general manager; Michal Rozsival, D.

Former Penguins on the Bruins: Andrew Ference, D; Jaromir Jagr, RW.

Who needs to be the difference for the Blackhawks: Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Hossa, etc. The Blackhawks have not received consistent production from their star players throughout the postseason. In order to contend with the Bruins' strong defense, Chicago's stars need to step up on offense.

Who needs to be the difference for the Bruins: Zdeno Chara, Dennis Seidenberg, Johnny Boychuk, etc. Boston's blue line will once again need to step up against Chicago's deep crew of offensive fowards the way it did against the Penguins.

Best Blackhawks YouTube Video We Could Find: Former Blackhawks defenseman Dustin Byfuglien slamming Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger into the left corner boards during Game 5 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Final:

Best Bruins YouTube Video We Could Find: Former Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas slamming Canucks captain/center Henrik Sedin in the crease during Game 3 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final:

EN Prediction: It's hard to imagine the Bruins shutting things down on the Blackhawks the same way they did against the Penguins. That said, they have the depth on defense to limit Chicago's deep group of forwards. With Tuukka Rask tuned in, the Bruins will be lifting the Stanley Cup once again. Bruins 4-3.
