Useless Jets/Thrashers Trivia Vaguely Related to the Penguins: Pascal Dupuis is one of two one-time members of the Penguins to wear No. 9 for the Thrashers/Jets franchise. The other was one of the players he was traded for, Erik Christensen.

Best Jets/Thrashers Video We Could Find: Ray Shero's previous big trade from 2008 - Acquiring Marian Hossa and Dupuis from the Thrashers in exchange for Colby Armstrong, Christensen, Angelo Esposito and a first-round pick in 2008:

Probable goaltenders: Tomas Vokoun (8-3-0, 2.72 GAA, .910 SV%) for the Penguins. Ondrej Pavelec (15-14-2, 2.75 GAA, .905 SV%) for the Jets.

Injuries: For the Penguins, center Evgeni Malkin ("upper body") is probable. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury ("upper-body") is questionable. Defenseman Kris Letang ("lower-body") is on injured reserve. For the Jets, defenseman Mark Stuart ("upper body") is doubtful. Centers Jim Slater ("upper body"), James Wright ("upper body"), right winger Anthony Peluso ("upper body") and defenseman Zach Redmond (leg) are on injured reserve .
