West Virginia's fate isn't fully determined quite yet, but with only one game remaining in the regular season, its postseason picture is as clear as it ever has been this year.
So where will the Mountaineers end up going bowling? Part of that is up to them and whether they can beat Kansas State Saturday to finish 8-4, which would be their highest win total since joining the Big 12 in 2012. Part of that will also depend upon how other teams in the conference and elsewhere perform this weekend -- and, of course, there are always some politics that come into play -- but it seems like their ultimate destination has, based on projections, been whittled down to a handful of options.
These placements are, by nature, fluid and subject to more change than you'd like to imagine. But, for now, it looks like the nation's major media outlets have two games in mind for West Virginia.
I hope Mountaineer fans like Houston and Phoenix.
