We're going to talk to Paul Chryst in just a few minutes for the first press conference of the season, but here's a look at Pitt's first official two-deep of the season. A couple of notes...

- Artie Rowell beats out Gabe Roberts for the starting center nod. Rowell had a really strong fall camp and came on late after running with the second team for all of spring practices and the beginning of training camp. He's not quite as big as Roberts, but the coaches really like his knowledge of the game and he has put on enough weight to be effective in this offense.

- No fullback listed. This goes along with Pitt's most common offensive alignment of training camp, which was two receivers, a running back and two tight ends. Garner and Parrish are more H-backs than true tight ends, so that's why they're a separate position from Holtz and Orndoff

- Ejuan Price is listed as a co-starter at both defensive end spots. Price started out spring camp as a linebacker/defensive end hybrid, but has slowly morphed into a true defensive end as camp went on. Defensive ends coach John Palermo said there are packages where Price plays standing up, but I would expect to see him on the field often against Florida State.

That's all for now. Check back this afternoon for another update following Chryst's press conference.
