Projected lines for Penguins-Blackhawks - 09-19-13

The Penguins will face the Blackhawks in Chicago tonight at the United Center. We will be hosting a live blog for tonight's game. The blog and the game begin at approximately 8 p.m. , EDT. The game will be televised on ROOT Sports in Pittsburgh and CSN Chicago in Chicago.

Based on today's morning skate, here are the projected lines and defensive pairings for the Penguins:

14 Chris Kunitz - 87 Sidney Crosby - 12 Chuck Kobasew
19 Beau Bennett - 16 Brandon Sutter - 22 Matt D'Agostini
59 Jayson Megna - 46 Joe Vitale - 17 Dustin Jeffrey
33 Steve MacIntyre - 38 Zach Sill - 45 Adam Payerl

47 Simon Despres - 2 Matt Niskanen
5 Deryk Engelland - 51 Derrick Pouliot
41 Robert Bortuzzo - 24 Brenden Mikkelson

-Tomas Vokoun is expected to start in net. Jeff Zatkoff will back him up.

-The Blackhawks had several players skip today's morning skate. The lines they used were:

29 Bryan Bickell - 23 Teuvo Teravainen - 88 Patrick Kane
10 Patrick Sharp - 14 Drew LeBlanc - 28 Ben Smith
56 Terry Broadhurst - 20 Brandon Saad - 22 Jimmy Hayes
52 Brandon Bollig - 16 Marcus Kruger - 36 Ryan Hartman

No potential defensive pairings were reported but the defenseman listed on Chicago's game roster for tonight are:

4 - Niklas Hjalmarsson; 7 - Brent Seabrook; 8 - Nick Leddy; 17 - Sheldon Brookbank; 27 - Johnny Oduya; 43 - Viktor Svedberg; 49 - Adam Clendening; 55 - Ryan Stanton

Former Penguins forward Marian Hossa is on the roster but is not expected to play tonight due to an "upper-body" injury. Forwards Andrew Shaw, Kyle Beach, Seabrook, Leddy, Stanton did not participate in the morning skate either.

Goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin is expected to start tonight. Anntti Raanta will back him up.
