Brave American

Written by Rob Rogers on .

All the talk over compromise on gun control was just that ... all talk. I thought the House was the place where all the NRA-intimidated cowards lived. Turns out they reside in the Senate too. The image of all the brave helpers running TOWARD danger in Boston is quite a contrast to the image all the Senators running AWAY from danger in Washington.

Brewed On Grant: Marathon

Written by Rob Rogers on .

Normally, Brewed On Grant appears in the paper on Wednesday and focuses on local issues. After the bombing Monday, however, I felt that my first response to the tragedy should be in the form of a single-panel cartoon with a broader perspective. That is why Brewed was delayed a day and is appearing here on a Thursday. I ended up making Brewed about the bombing as well.

Boston Bombing

The tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon is a reminder that despite improvements in security, we still live in a post 9/11 world.

Gun Logic

Written by Rob Rogers on .

The flawed logic used by the NRA for NOT moving forward on gun control is ridiculous and dangerous. It would never be accepted when it comes to other threats to our health and well being. Why is it acceptable on guns?

Snake Oil

Written by Rob Rogers on .

Governor Tom Corbett is stalling Pennsylvania's Medicaid expansion that promises the state billions in federal funds (not to mention jobs) under Obamacare. He is considering using private insurers instead of the standard Medicaid program. Yes, Tom ... forget about what's best for the impoverished and uninsured, it's the insurance companies that really need help!
