This illuminating story in the Post-Gazette spells out what many of us suspected about the Marcellus shale gas drilling. The reach of the gas and oil industry is far and wide. Not only do they have the politicians in their pocket, like Tom Corbett, but the state inspectors who are supposed to be keeping tabs on their environmental impact of fracking may also want to be in the industry's pocket someday.
