Smoking Guns

The NRA's defense of guns sounds as ludicrous as the tobacco industry's defense of cigarettes in the 1950s. Assault weapons are made for one thing: killing a lot of people quickly. They should not be available to the general public. There have always been dangerously mentally ill people living in the world. Their access to assault weapons is a more recent phenomenon.
