Sacred Cow

The republicans refuse to come to the bargaining table unless entitlements are part of the deal. But Social Security is not a part of the deficit. It is something that is paid into by all working Americans and they deserve to have it. Yes, it needs to be reformed so that it will be solvent in the future, but it is not a place to find revenue.
