Guiding us to God

In his Feb. 26 letter "Others' Freedom," Norm Johnson of Greensburg states: "The bishops do not speak for the majority of people, or the majority of Americans, or the majority of Christians or, in fact, the majority of Catholics." In saying this he hit the nail on the head. In truth, the bishop speaks for the Catholic Church which speaks for Jesus Christ who speaks for God our Father who said, "This is my beloved son. Listen to Him."

The bishop is not trying to take us "back to the Inquisition," as Mr. Johnson states. The bishop is guiding us back to the Word of God because he cares about our eternal happiness. Listen to him.
