Slush Fund

Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe voted against the funding for hurricane Sandy. In fact, he called it a "slush fund." Now he finds himself with a devistating natural disaster in his own state. He recently argued that in the Sandy relief bill "everybody was getting in and exploiting the tragedy that took place ... that won't happen in Oklahoma."

Brewed On Grant: Cartoon Pittsburgh

This weekend hundreds of cartoonists will descend upon Pittsburgh for the National Cartoonists Society's annual convention. There will be animators, illustrators, magazine cartoonists, greeting card artists, comic book artists, comic strip creators, editorial cartoonists and more. There will be a public event on Sunday May 26th called "Pittsburgh Comic Arts Festival".

As the GOP-led Congress tried for the 37th time to repeal Obamacare, I couldn't help but think of that famous quote about how insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Of course, they think this ridiculous endeavor is perfectly sane.
