Who are Pittsburgh's Top Tweeters of 2013?

When Time magazine announced its Person of the Year was Pope Francis, there was much discussion on social media about whether it was a good choice, whether it should have been Miley Cyrus or Edward Snowden or someone else.

I am still not entirely sure why there still is so much attention to this pick as some kind of societal barometer; it generated a lot of buzz on Twitter, but will that translate into newsstand sales? And is that the reason the pope was chosen? At least one article suggested as much, but we'll leave those questions to others on the Internet to debate.

It got us at Pittsblogh thinking about who would be Pittsburgh's person of the year. Our colleagues at Pittsburgh Magazine already do a fine job at making an annual "Pittsburgher of the Year" pick for a year-end issue. What we're interested in finding out is who you think is Pittsburgh's Top Tweeter of 2013.

For me, the top contenders have to include mayor-elect Bill Peduto @billpeduto, the Pirates' Andrew McCutchen @thecutch22, the Penguins' Evgeni Malkin @malkin71_, and blogger and columnist Virginia Montanez @JanePitt.

But you tell us: Who is the top Pittsburgh Tweeter, and, what was the best Pittsburgh Tweet of 2013?
