Faithburgh: About Ann Rodgers

Ann Rodgers has covered religion at the major daily newspaper in Pittsburgh since 1988: originally at The Pittsburgh Press and since 1993 at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Prior to that she covered religion at the News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla. (1983-1988) and the Concord Monitor in New Hampshire (1980-1983).

She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a master of theological studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Ann is a past recipient of the Religion Newswriters Association’s Templeton Religion Reporter of the Year Award for best religion coverage in the secular print media and of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Publishers Association’s award for best beat coverage on any topic in the state of Pennsylvania. She is a board member of the Religion Newswriters Association www.rna.org which trains jourrnalists to cover religion with accuracy, fairness and civility.
