Written by Diana Nelson Jones on .

Oakland has a new “green team,” and they are having their first meeting tomorrow evening. Anyone who wants green to inherit the earth one neighborhood at a time can attend and make suggestions about potential green activities.oaktree

The group formed as a result of the Oakland 2025 community planning process. Its goal is to “put the oak back in Oakland” by improving trail connections and creating attractive open spaces.

The meeting is at 6p at the Oakland Career Center, a former senior center at 294 Semple Street. Use the side entrance on Louisa Street.
