There are fund-raisers and then there are fund-raisers with wine, whiskey and chocolat.
Neighbors in the Strip has devised a tantalizing walking tour of a dozen retail sites Thursday evening, with an after party thrown in. It can be yours for $50 — $75 for a couple if you order before tomorrow (otherwise it’s $65). Singles can solve that bit of inequality by taking a friend along.
For ticket information and additional details, visit the NIS website here.
The event is from 5p to 7.30p. There are two check-in places — Marty’s Market, 2305 Smallman St., or Pittsburgh Public Market in the Produce Terminal Building at 17th & Smallman Streets. There you will get a wristband and a list of participating places. The after party, featuring the band Random Play, is at the Cruze Bar.
“Stroll the Strip” will offer samplings and holiday treats at Bar Marco, Dreadnought Wines, In the Kitchen, Lot 24, Luke Wholey’s Wild Alaskan Grille, Marty’s Market, Mon Aimee Chocolat, Osteria 2350, Pittsburgh Public Market, Roxanne’s Dried Flowers, Society for Contemporary Craft and Wigle Whiskey.
A bus will be available for people who can’t or don’t want to walk.
This event is sponsored by The Cork Factory, Cruze Bar, Lot 24, Neighbors in the Strip, Pitt-Ohio, and Pittsburgh Tour Company.
