This morning, Rich Lord and I wrote about video obtained in a 2012 arrest that has been sent to the Department of Justice and Citizen Police Review Board for review. During the arrest, a Pittsburgh police officer hit a former Brentwood man in the head twice with a Glock pistol and hauled him through the open window, after which officers punched him, according to the video and other documents.
The officer said he thought the man was going to jump out on him, as others had in the past. The man's attorney said his hands were outside the window in surrender and that police enacted "street justice."
A portion of the video appeared, alongside interviews, on our main site. A full version is below.
