NEW YORK -- Earthy neutrals and bold statement colors are expected to be style staples come fall, experts at Pantone say.

Timed with New York Fashion Week, the color forecaster released its fall report outlining what hues it predicts will be prominent for the season for men and women's fashions.

The palette includes dried herb, desert sage, stormy weather blue, oak buff, biscay bay teal, reflecting pond (a cool blue), cadmium orange, cashmere rose, amethyst orchid and marsala, the Pantone color of the year for 2015.

The mix of shades is meant to "reflect a landscape of hope, fun, fantasy and all things natural," Pantone says.
