The world received good and bad news when Duchess Catherine made her first post-pregnancy appearance last week on the steps of St. Mary's hospital in London.
The good news: she gave the public its first glimpse of her healthy newborn son, Prince George Alexander Louis. The bad news: the blue-and-white polka dot dress with empire waistline by Jenny Packham she wore will not be for sale.
Vogue reported that the British designer's website crashed due to a surge in traffic from people searching for the dress, but it has been confirmed that the dress was made exclusively for the Duchess of Cambridge. The label doesn't plan to make it available for the public to purchase.
Comparisons have been made between Duchess Catherine's dress and the dotted one Princess Diana wore 31 years ago when she introduced Prince William to the world. Intentional or not, new mom Kate looked stylish as ever.
