Prom season is upon us, and lately rarely a day goes by that I don't receive an email or spot on Twitter or Facebook something about a new dress line, trends for the big night or places to find affordable gowns.
Here's a roundup of some of the latest prom prepping tips and news I've received. Check back throughout prom season for more updates and insights.
WHITE by Vera Wang at David's Bridal: Want designer style without the high-end cost? Vera Wang's WHITE collection, exclusively at David's Bridal, features gowns in a range of long and short styles and colors for less than $200. For guys, there's the BLACK line of gray and black tuxedos available only at Men's Wearhouse.
Allegheny County Project Prom shop at Century III Mall: Prom can be magical and memorable -- and pricey. Allegheny County Project Prom's initiative wants to help. Eligible students can choose from gowns, shoes, accessories, wraps, hosiery and more to create a head-turning look. The Project Prom shop is open at Century III Mall from 3 to 7 p.m. today and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
