Trina Turk FW13 line packed with wearable brights, autumn hues (with photos)

Written by Sara Bauknecht on .

NEW YORK -- Wearable separates in stunning hues, such as those featured in Trina Turk's fall/winter 2013 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, make the thought of winter almost bearable.

The designer varied autumnal tones, such as candy apple red, charcoal, forest green and plum, with eye-popping brights worthy of spring.  (Perhaps this is one way to infuse winter wardrobes with wishful thinking for warmer weather?) The collection also boasted visual interest thanks to its mix of patterns and textures -- sometimes within a single piece (such as a fabric blocked coat) or by pairing multiple pieces with different prints.

Outfits were well accessorized with colorful hats and elbow-length leather gloves in equally rich shades.
