I'm thrilled to announce the release of my fifth book, The Steel City Garden; Creating a One of a Kind Garden in Black and Gold.

It's filled with lots of plants celebrating Pittsburgh's official colors. The book explains how to grow them all without reaching for chemicals and includes plant partners to mix and match your favorite varieties.

This isn't just about plants though, there are stories about gardeners who have created their own Steel City Garden and the book also showcases lots of accessories like birdhouses and even black and gold flamingos!

I'll be discussing the book on Saturday November 16th, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon at the Peters Township Public Library, followed by a book signing. The event is free to the public, but registration is required. Here are all the details.

If you can't make it and would like a signed copy, here's the best place to get one.
