Learn to garden with Doug at Saturday's PGU

Written by Doug Oster on .

cgThePoint2012Students from my PGU gardening class will take what they learn and apply it by helping plant this Western Pennsylvania Conservancy bed near the Post-Gazette.

I'll be holding a Spring Planting Workshop on Saturday, June 1 from 2-4 p.m. in Point State Park. We'll be right across from the Post-Gazette. It's part of the paper's PGU continuing education program.

I'll present "Have Your Best Garden Ever" and explain improving soil, growing from seed and transplants, creating raised beds, French intensive planting, season extending and more. Then, we'll all plant flower beds at the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s garden at Point State Park, adjacent to the Post-Gazette. Cost: $35.

Free parking is provided. Need directions to the Post-Gazette?
