A nice day to cuddle with seed catalogs, my favorites

Written by Doug Oster on .

This is the perfect day to sit and explore seed catalogs and web sites.

Being old, I love to have the catalog in my hand, but do my ordering online once I figure out what I want.

Here are some of my favorite places to order from.

Peaceful Valley Farm and Garden Supply

Check out their seed collections. I like the tins of early season crops.

Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds

One of the greatest collections of heirloom melons and tomatoes.

Heirloom Seeds (local to Pittsburgh)

I've been ordering from Heirloom Seeds for 15 years. It's great to get a local source.

Seeds of Change

Fresh organic seed.

Renee's Garden Seeds

Two words...'Wasabi' arugula! Lots of other cools stuff, check out the sweet peas.

High Mowing Seeds

Organic and family run.

There are many more, what are your favorites?
