The final weekend of the WPIAL season is Friday and Saturday. The playoffs this season are different than any other year in Class AAAA and AAA.
In Class AAAA and AAA, there are only three conferences. So, the top five teams in each conference qualify, along with one "wild-card" sixth-place team. All first- and second-place teams in AAAA and AAA will play home games in the first round, along with two third-place teams.
In Class AA and A, the top four teams in each conference qualify for the playoffs. Teams that finish in first and second place will play home games in the first round.
