Former NA player Dallier to Yale
Anthony Dallier, who played basketball at North Allegheny High School through his junior year, will play college basketball at Yale of the Ivy League.
Dallier, a 6-foot-6 guard, said he committed to Yale tonight. Two other Ivy League schools - Cornell and Brown - also wanted Dallier. He said Davidson, Binghamton, James Madison, Lafayette and Bucknell also offered scholarships.
Dallier was a varsity starter at North Allegheny as a sophomore and junior. He was a Post-Gazette Fabulous 5 selection in 2011 after his junior year. Although he had a few offers from Division I colleges, he decided to leave North Allegheny and attend Northfield Mount Hermon, a prep school in Massachusetts. Dallier "reclassified," meaning he repeated his junior year. He still has one year left at Mount Hermon.
Dallier averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists at Mount Hermon this season.
