Buechel chooses Duquesne
I'll have some more thoughts on Steven Adams and comments from him tomorrow. But for now, some football recruiting news.
Montour quarterback Dillon Buechel has decided to play at Duquesne University. That is a very nice catch for Duquesne coach Jerry Schmitt. Some thought Buechel had Division I potential, but the D-1 schools never really came after him. Buechel visited New Hampshire last weekend, but wasn't enamored with the place and didn't get a scholarship offer. His other offer was from Maine.
Buechel was terrific at Montour and finished as the second-leading passer in WPIAL history with 6,899 yards. He could do very well at Duquesne. One of the things that helped Duquesne also was its pharmacy program. Buechel is a good student and is seriously thinking of being a pharmacy major.
Also,Sto-Rox linebacker Deaysean Rippy tweeted that he will decide between Pitt and WVU.
