Woodland Hills' Price picks Ohio State

Written by Mike White on .

Ohio State has done well in recruiting Western Pennsylvania in recent years, and the Buckeyes have another WPIAL recruit in the class of 2011.

Woodland Hills linebacker Ejuan Price made a verbal commitment to Ohio State tonight while Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel made a home visit with Price and his family. Price had narrowed his list to Ohio State and Iowa and had been thinking about the two schools for months. He said he visited both schools over the holiday break.

"Ohio State wasn't necessarily No. 1 the whole way," Price said. "Iowa is still a great school and I have a lot of respect for their coaches and university. Ohio State just kind of separated themselves at the end."

Price said Pitt and new coach Todd Graham tried to get in the recruiting race with him the past week.

"Actually, I never got around to meeting [Graham]," Price said. "I met a couple of the other staff members and they seem like cool people. But it seemed kind of late in the game to get involved with them."
