Gateway High School football coach Terry Smith has been named head coach for a prestigious all-star game.

Smith will coach the East team in the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio Jan. 3. The game is televised live by NBC and features the top 90 players in the country. Smith was an assistant coach for the East team a year ago. The team included former Jeannette star quarterback Terrelle Pryor.

Over the years, the Army Bowl has featured some great players, including Reggie Bush and Vince Young.
