Several Pitt players sign with NFL teams
Several former Pitt players who went undrafted have signed free agent deals with NFL teams.
Quarterback Bill Stull signed with Kansas City, guard John Malecki signed with Tennessee, defensive tackle Mick Williams signed with the Jets and cornerback Aaron Berry signed with the Lions. Also, linebacker Adam Gunn was invited to Green Bay's minicamp this week as an undrafted free agent but has not yet signed a contract.
As for the draft itself -- Dorin Dickerson's falling to the 7th round is not a surprise from this standpoint -- for lack of a better term "one-year wonders" (guys who had one huge season in college and did little else the other three years) always make general managers a little bit nervous and more importantly he is such a specialized kind of player there were only a few teams who were even going to consider taking him.
Hopefully, he goes down to Houston and really works hard because I beleive he can become a very productive NFL player if he puts his mind to it.
