Alright, here we go. One game tonight will decide whether or not Pitt earns bowl eligibility in Paul Chryst's first season at the helm. The ups and downs of this season has been well-documented, but a win tonight would, if nothing else, give the Panthers 15 extra practices and end the season on a positive note. A few quick notes before we get started here.
- Wide receiver Cameron Saddler did not make the trip to Tampa because of "disciplinary reasons," per a Pitt spokesman. There's no further information available at the moment, but that's a tough break for a fifth-year senior in his final regular season game. Ronald Jones will likely take over for Saddler on punt return duties.
- Wide receiver Devin Street and tight end Hubie Graham are both here tonight. Graham has been battling a variety of injuries this season, and Street got banged up during the Rutgers game and didn't return. Obviously, both of them would be a huge help for Pitt today.
- Right now, Pitt's bowl destination is still up in the air. If the Panthers win, the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl (St. Petersburg, Fla.), the BBVA Compass Bowl (Birmingham, Ala.) and the Pinstripe Bowl (New York, N.Y.) are the three most likely destinations. This can change based on who else wins and loses today, so I'll be keeping an eye on all of it.
