SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Good evening, everyone. Welcome to your Friday night edition of Pitt football. We're inside the Carrier Dome tonight, where the Panthers will take on Syracuse. Kickoff is 7 p.m. on ESPN. Until then, here are a couple of links to tide you over.

- If you missed it yesterday, here's a link to the transcript of my weekly Pitt football chat.

- My story from today's P-G set up what's on the line as Pitt and Syracuse get set for their final meetings as members of the Big East.

Like I said in the chat yesterday, I think the key to this game is whether or not Pitt cornerbacks Lafayette Pitts and K'Waun Williams can shut down Syracuse's receivers in man coverage. If they can, that'll allow the Panthers to bring extra pressure on Orange quarterback Ryan Nassib and basically execute the same gameplan they did against Logan Thomas three weeks ago.

What are your predictions for tonight, Pitt fans?
