Another Tulsa Commitment Headed to Pitt

Written by Paul Zeise on .

I'm in lovely Piscataway, N.J. (Sealed) getting ready to cover the Pitt-Rutgers hoops game but there has been some movement today on the football recruiting front:

Cornerback Jason Frimpong (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) committed to the Panthers this afternoon. Frimpong, who is from Irving MacArthur high school in Texas, is one of about 15 players on an official visit this weekend.

He was committed to Tulsa but he instead obviously decided to follow Todd Graham to Pitt.  He also had offers from Memphis, North Texas and Wisconsin. He is another speed guy as he runs the 40-yard dash (at least as far as we know) in 4.4 seconds.

In addition to corner, he apparently also played some running back and receiver as his statistics for this season are 64 carries for 298 yards and five touchdowns and 33 receptions for 459 yards and two touchdowns.

I'll be back in town tomorrow and will update the rest of this weekend of recruiting as signing day is right around the corner.
