Pitt adds another commitment - Quinton Alston
The Pitt football team received its fourth verbal commitment from the class of 2011 today when linebacker Quinton Alston from Timber Creek High School in Slickville, New Jersey committed to the Panthers.
Alston, who is 6-feet-1, 218 pounds, chose the Panthers over more than 20 other scholarship offers including from Wisconsin, Virginia, West Virginia, Baylor, Iowa, Purdue, North Carolina State and Boston College. He said previously that Boston college and Virginia were among his finalists.
He is projected as an inside linebacker for the Panthers. He had 80 tackles, including 12 for loss and four sacks last season.
