MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Pretty much everything went as expected at coach Bill Stewart's press gathering this afternoon.

He spoke about how Colorado -- and I have been saying this -- is better than its 1-2 record indicates.

He spoke about how Jarrett Brown's injury shouldn't be a factor, at all.

He spoke about how excited he is for the anticipated atmosphere of a Thursday night, nationally-televised game.

Some other Stewart thoughts:

     > I asked him about how exciting it will be to see Major Harris honored in a ceremony Thursday night. Stewart had some strong emotions, calling Harris, among other things, "One of my heroes." The press conference is worth a listen for this, and this alone. When Stewart speaks of Harris, it is tremendously genuine and heartfelt.

     > Stewart indicated linebacker Reed Williams (foot), who missed the Auburn game, should be more than ready to play. Defensive lineman Scooter Berry (shoulder) seems to be a different story. Berry hasn't had any live action in practice, but has gone through some drills and some sled work. The thought here, and this is my opinion, is that we won't see Berry against the Buffs.

     > Colorado quarterback Cody Hawkins is a player, the kid is the real deal. Everyone, especially Bill Stewart, knows it.
