Sowers and Berry ineligible for Gator Bowl

Two West Virginia defensive starters -- safety Nate Sowers and defensive lineman Scooter Berry -- will not participate in the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1 against Florida State, as both did not meet NCAA eligibility requirements following the Fall sememster.
Grades were issued today for classes taken in the Fall Semester.
West Virginia coach Bill Stewart said he will have no comment on the matter.
