BUFFALO, N.Y.
I have often said that West Virginia doesn't fit in the Big East Conference --- because, in terms of a fan base, it seems more like an SEC school.
It is the state's school.
People from far and wide, from all corners of the state, pull for the Mountaineers -- much like they do in places such as Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida.
It is with that said, and some recent words West Virginia basketball coach Bob Huggins said, that a story idea sprung.
