INDIANAPOLIS
An MRI today confirmed the significance of the injury West Virginia senior swingman Da'Sean Butler suffered Saturday night in his team's semifinal loss against Duke.
Butler tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, sprained the medial collateral ligament in the same knee and also suffered two bone bruises.
He was injured with 8:59 remaining in the game and had to be helped from the floor by teammates and was taken to the locker room by a waiting medical cart.
