Alston will travel to Lubbock

Shawne Alston will be on the team plane to Lubbock, Texas today, Dana Holgorsen said on his radio show Thursday night.

Will he play on Saturday though? That’s still unclear.

Holgorsen told MetroNews on “The Dana Holgorsen Sportsline” the following: “He'll be on the plane and we'll keep rehabbing him and poking on that thigh and seeing if he's ready to go.”

Andrew Buie rushed for 207 yards and a pair of scores against Texas in his absence last week, and Dustin Garrison appears to be trusting his knee more out there.

No question Alston certainly would help significantly against a Texas Tech defense ranked No. 1 against the pass, and No. 12 against the run.
