No Shawne Alston at Texas

Dana Holgorsen said running back Shawne Alston will not be making the trip to Texas on his radio show Thursday night, according to MetroNews which airs the show, the "Dana Holgorsen Statewide Sportsline" show.

Holgorsen has said previously that Alston is getting treatment for a thigh bruise.

Alston rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores against Marshall, rushed for another score against James Madison, then dressed against Maryland but never recorded a carry.

He didn't dress against Baylor last week and it was unclear this week if he was healthy enough to play at Texas.

"We're going to move on without him this week," Holgorsen said on the air. "If he's out there practicing next week, we'll play him in the game. But he tried to go here for the last couple of days and just wasn't able. He's going to continue to get that thigh worked on and we'll hopefully get him back next week."
