No Geno Smith at practice

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Geno Smith, who landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week, was not present at practice today.

Why? The media was told we are “more than welcome to ask about it at Holgorsen’s 7:30 press conference" by a sports information director.

Unfortunately there’s no more to report right now, but will update as soon as possible.

Of course it could be nothing – or it could be something. I know that doesn’t help much.

Today was the last day of the five 30-minute practice viewing sessions the media were allowed to look in on.

The buzz was all about the absence of Smith...but really we just saw some special teams practice, kickoffs, punts, returns and the like...
