Two defensive backs face shoplifting charges

Written by Jenn Menendez on .

Two WVU football players were arrested Tuesday for shoplifting snacks at a Sheetz in Morgantown, W.V., according to a report in the Dominion Post.

The players - safeties Darwin Cook and Terence Garvin – allegedly lifted Gatorade, Doritos and pretzels on April 12, were identified via surveillance cameras, then arrested Tuesday.

Coach Dana Holgorsen issued the following statement on the matter: “I have been made aware of the situation and am gathering facts at this time. When all the facts are in, I will take the appropriate action.”

Calls to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s department were not immediately returned.
