Irvin, Maryland series notes

Written by Jenn Menendez on .

West Virginia DE Bruce Irvin said he is looking forward to being in a hostile environment on Saturday at Maryland and facing QB Danny O'Brien, the 2010 ACC Rookie of the Year.

Irvin had four tackles for loss last year against Maryland and amassed three sacks.

"He can throw a deep ball. He can get out of the pocket if he wants to make plays," said Irvin. "We've got to come out with our minds right."

Irvin has six tackles this season, one sack and two tackles for loss. "I'm gonna have fun. I'm gonna do what makes 'em mad and that's play good. That's all you can do."

WVU @ Maryland, Noon, Byrd Stadium, College Park, Md.
