Marquis Wallace has left WVU for Marshall

Written by Colin Dunlap on .

According to The Charleston Daily Mail, true freshman offensive lineman Marquis Wallace has left the West Virginia football program and is at Marshall.

While West Virginia doesn't delve into such matters publicly, and won't comment on the situation, one question comes to mind very, very quickly here: If the West Virginia program had to release Wallace to transfer on a conditional basis (and "OK" the receiving school), why would they allow him to go to Marshall?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. There's a catch here. Because Wallace was ruled academically ineligible, he can leave and go wherever he likes and WVU doesn't have any say in the matter.
